And the part that notices?
Awareness is not a sixth centre. It is the capacity to notice experience across the Five.
Try an awareness reflection →Awareness is consciousness noticing.
Noticing within ourselves, in relationship, and in the world around us.
Begin with noticing
Pause for a moment. There is no need to change anything before you notice it.
Within youThoughts, feelings and body sensations
Help me notice what I am thinking, feeling and sensing right now, without judging it.
Explore this with PentOme →Around youYour surroundings and relationships
Help me pause and notice what is happening around me and how it affects my experience.
Explore this with PentOme →What changesWhat shifts over time
Help me notice what has changed recently and what that might help me understand.
Explore this with PentOme →A little space to notice.
I can notice that I’m thinking one thing, feeling another and wanting something else.
In PentOme’s philosophical framing, awareness is consciousness noticing. The Five offers five perspectives through which we can explore what we notice.
That simple observation is central to PentOme. Thoughts can be noticed. Feelings can be noticed. Habits, sensations and desires can be noticed too.
PentOme creates a little space between what is happening inside you and what you do next. In that space, greater clarity becomes possible.
The Five are parts of your experience. Awareness notices them. You are the whole person.
The capacity to notice experience.
Awareness is present throughout PentOme. It notices The Five, their relationships, the patterns we recognise and what happens as experience moves through the PentOme Process.
Awareness isn’t another centre or another principle.
It is the capacity to notice what is happening across the whole of your experience.
The Five describe different aspects of that experience. The Core Matrix shows how they relate, while the Core Principles help explore how experience interacts and changes.
Awareness can notice all of it.
Awareness makes noticing the whole architecture possible.
You can notice what you’re thinking, doing, sensing, feeling and wanting; notice how those parts interact through the Core Matrix; recognise patterns through the Core Principles; and use the PentOme Process to explore what happens next.
