Cookies & local preferences
PentOme uses the browser technologies needed to keep the service working, remember appropriate preferences and maintain your signed-in experience.
Essential technologies
PentOme uses essential browser storage and authentication technologies to provide account sessions, security and core product functionality. These are necessary for the signed-in service to work.
Local storage
Your browser may store local preferences and a resilience cache used by parts of PentOme. For signed-in personal information, server-side account storage is the source of truth where the feature supports it.
Analytics and advertising
PentOme does not currently present advertising as part of Personal Free. Signed-in users can optionally enable usage and journey sharing in Account settings. This is off by default. After you opt in, a random visit identifier and last-activity time are kept in tab-scoped session storage to group page and feature events into approximate visits. The account-linked usage records are stored by PentOme for a 90-day viewing window, with scheduled and on-access cleanup. Separately, visitors can choose to allow Google Analytics on public pages. It is off until you allow it and does not run on private account, Talk, Journal, Me, Actions or Admin pages. Google receives public page paths, time spent with public pages visible, the origin (domain only) of external referring sites, and technical connection information and may store analytics cookies such as _ga. Approved public campaign labels (source, medium, campaign and placement) may also be sent to distinguish Facebook Page and group links. These labels are restricted to a predefined list; arbitrary query strings, personal text, account IDs and search terms are not sent by this integration. Advertising signals are disabled.
Optional usage controls
Account → Help improve PentOme → Share usage and journeys controls this tracking independently of conversation review. Turning it off stops collection and deletes your recorded usage history. Conversation and Journal text, search terms, filenames, raw user-agent strings and URL query strings are excluded. See the Privacy page for details.
Google Analytics choice
Use Change analytics preference on this Cookie Policy page to allow or decline analytics. You can reach this page through the Cookies link in the footer. Declining stops future collection and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies. Your preference is stored for six months. This is separate from signed-in usage sharing. This implementation measures public page views, not subscription purchases or private feature activity.
Your controls
You can use your browser settings to inspect, block or clear browser storage. Blocking essential authentication or storage may prevent parts of PentOme from working correctly.
Changes
This policy describes the current Early Access product. It will be updated if PentOme introduces technologies that materially change what is stored in your browser or require additional consent.

Optional video players
Watch does not load external video players until you choose to load a video. YouTube and Vimeo then receive connection information and may use their own storage. Close the player to remove it from the page. The choice is made separately for each film.
