Desire & Wanting
Attraction, motivation, direction, preference and what draws us towards or away from something.
Desire, seen from different perspectives.
Begin with what Green — Desire means within PentOme, then explore its connections with the natural world, related ideas and published research. Each perspective is kept distinct, so connections can be explored without treating them as the same thing.
Green represents Desire: attraction, aversion, preference, motivation and the sense of being drawn toward or away from possibilities.
Wanting is not the same as deciding, thinking something is sensible, feeling good about it or actually doing it. That distinction is one reason Desire has its own place within The Five.
Green asks not only ‘What do I want?’ but ‘What is pulling me, how strongly, and how does that relate to the rest of my experience?’
See the canonical definition.
